Changing from one computer to another is always a huge hassle. Separate from the setting up of the computer at the hardware level, it is the software installation that is more nerve-wracking. You have to install the operating system (which itself can be quite a long and boring process), then install the various programs you use commonly, the drivers for your peripheral devices and perform several configurations for optimizing the computer for your own use.
But this is only the beginning. One of the higher tasks you have to do is to transfer all your files from your old computer to various. You can easily tick off half a day for simply transferring your workstation from one computer to another.
If you have changed computers even once, you will realize that merely transferring files from your old computer to another is not enough. Let me give you an example. When I work, I use umpteen shortcuts in my word processor to make my work easier. Recently I changed computers. Now, even though I could transfer the files to the new computer, would the shortcuts come? Nope! Customizations cannot be simply copied and pasted from one computer to another.
